Turkey Trot, What is that? The Turkey Trot is an annual race that is held in Glasgow at the Beaver Trail Park. This years race will be on November 6th. It features four competitions.
- Gobbler Gate — 1/2 Mile Race for kids ages 7 and younger
- One Mile Fun Walk — Open to all ages
- One Mile Fun Run — Open to all ages
- Five Kilometer Race (Formerly a five mile race)– Open to all ages
Mammoth Cave Amateur Radio Club provides field communications for the 5K race. We assist the officials in keeping up with where the main body of runners are, and provide emergency communications should the need arise.
The race will start around 2:45PM and should be over by 4:00 PM. Hams working the event should be available by at least 2:30PM. Following the Turkey Trot the Mammoth Cave Amateur Radio Club will be hosting a chilli supper in the club room. The Chilli supper should start around 4:30 or 5:00 PM. We hope to see you there!
